Wilneica Brown has filed a lawsuit against Whelan Security Co. in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. The case alleges violations of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Brown claims she faced discrimination due to her pregnancy and was terminated after requesting leave under FMLA. The complaint seeks back pay, reinstatement or front pay, compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorneys’ fees, and other costs. Brown’s attorney is Joshua A. Verde from The Verde Law Firm.
