Chavar Watkins has filed a lawsuit against several entities following an accident at Bear Creek Pioneer Park, claiming negligence and seeking damages for injuries sustained. The complaint was filed by Chavar Watkins in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on August 22, 2025, naming Bubble Bump Houston Ltd. Co., Enterprise Holdings, Inc., and Harris County Precinct 4 as defendants.
The case stems from an incident on March 26, 2024, when Watkins was participating in recreational activities at Bear Creek Pioneer Park in Houston. During these activities, he fell into a hazardous drainage ditch and suffered serious bodily injuries. Watkins alleges that the defendants failed to maintain the park’s premises safely and neglected their duty of care towards visitors. According to the complaint, Harris County Precinct 4 was responsible for maintaining the park but failed to address known dangers such as the open ditch.
Watkins accuses Bubble Bump Houston Ltd. Co. of failing to protect its customers from unreasonable risks and not adequately training or supervising its staff. Similarly, Enterprise Holdings is accused of neglecting its duty to ensure employee safety and failing to warn about potential hazards. Both companies are alleged to have disregarded Watkins’ safety during the event.
The plaintiff claims that these failures constitute negligence and gross negligence on the part of all defendants. He argues that their actions were reckless and showed a conscious disregard for his safety, leading to his injuries. As a result, Watkins seeks compensatory damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, lost earning capacity, and other related losses.
In addition to compensatory damages, Watkins requests punitive damages against the defendants as a deterrent against future misconduct. He also demands a jury trial to determine liability and appropriate compensation for his injuries.
The legal team representing Chavar Watkins includes Danielle Smith Heath from Kiefer & Kiefer law firm based in New Orleans. The case is being presided over by Judge Nelson Cuero in the 295th Judicial District Court under Case ID 2025-61381.
