The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a lawsuit against Fat and Broke, Inc., operating as Gamer Logistics, in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, El Paso Division. The EEOC alleges that the company engaged in age discrimination against employees and job applicants aged 65 and older, violating the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA). The complaint highlights that John Baquera was discharged from his position as a driver due to his age, while Jesus Ramos was denied employment for the same reason. Additionally, the company allegedly maintained discriminatory hiring practices and failed to retain necessary employment records. The EEOC seeks injunctive relief, back pay with interest, reinstatement or instatement, liquidated damages for affected individuals, and compliance with ADEA regulations.
