The State Bar of Texas announced on March 31 that it will host a free webinar for attorneys interested in learning about the use of artificial intelligence in the practice of law. The event, titled “Ask a Human: A Q&A Session on AI,” is scheduled for April 15 from 3 to 4 p.m. Central Daylight Time and requires advanced registration.

The webinar aims to help legal professionals understand how artificial intelligence can be used within their field. All attorneys and other legal professionals are welcome to attend, and membership in the Texas bar is not required to participate.

“Ask a Human” is organized by the State Bar’s Law Practice Management Committee along with staff from its Law Practice Management Department. Trish McAllister, staff attorney for the department and liaison to the committee, will moderate the session. Panelists Alex Shahrestani and Patrick Wright, both attorney members of the committee with experience in AI applications for law, will answer questions from attendees.

Participants can submit questions when they register or ask them live during the webinar through chat. Registration information is available at texasbarpractice.com by clicking the “Register Now” button at the top of the page.

The event reflects ongoing interest among legal professionals about how new technologies like artificial intelligence may impact their work.
