A woman from Quinlan, Texas, has been sentenced to federal prison for her role in methamphetamine trafficking. Rosalind Horton, 34, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. On December 1, 2025, U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant sentenced Horton to 24 months in federal prison.

According to court records, Horton began conspiring with others in 2020 to distribute and possess at least 500 grams of methamphetamine within the Eastern District of Texas.

U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs announced the sentencing and said the case is part of Operation Take Back America. This initiative uses resources from the Department of Justice to address illegal immigration, target cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect communities from violent crime.

The Drug Enforcement Administration led the investigation into this case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Rattan prosecuted the matter.
