A Port Arthur man has been sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison for trafficking methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Texas, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs.
Cory Donelle Williams, 44, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He received a sentence of 125 months in federal prison from U.S. District Judge Michael J. Truncale on December 9, 2025.
Court records show that in 2024, local law enforcement received information indicating that Williams was distributing synthetic marijuana and methamphetamine in the region. Authorities executed a search warrant at his residence and found 56.3 grams of methamphetamine.
“This case is part of Operation Take Back America a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime,” according to the statement from officials.
The investigation involved the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Port Arthur Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Lee prosecuted the case.
