A former employee has filed a lawsuit against a major convenience store chain, alleging racial and gender discrimination in the workplace. Schlundrya Scott initiated the complaint on December 2, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, targeting her former employer, 7-Eleven, Inc.

The case centers around claims of unlawful employment practices that allegedly took place while Scott was employed by 7-Eleven. According to the complaint, Scott is an African American woman who worked as an Area Leader responsible for overseeing several franchise-owned stores. She claims that she faced repeated discrimination based on her race and gender from January 2024 through February 2025. The plaintiff alleges that this discriminatory treatment created a hostile work environment which ultimately led to her constructive discharge on February 2, 2025.

Scott’s accusations are supported by specific incidents outlined in the complaint. On August 24, 2024, she reported inappropriate behavior by another Area Leader to her Market Manager but received no adequate response. She made further complaints about harassment and inappropriate language used by colleagues but contends that these were ignored or inadequately addressed by management. Scott argues that despite fulfilling her duty to cooperate with internal investigations as required by company policy, no effective action was taken to address her concerns.

The lawsuit claims violations under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and seeks various forms of relief from the court. Specifically, Scott is asking for statutory damages exceeding $1 million, back pay and front pay for lost wages and benefits, compensatory damages for emotional distress and loss of enjoyment of life, punitive damages against the defendant for their alleged conduct, as well as attorney’s fees and costs associated with bringing this action.

Representing herself in this legal battle is Schlundrya Scott. The case has been assigned Case ID: 3:25-cv-03307-S-BW with Judge S-BW presiding over it. Notably involved law firms include Welter Law Firm P.C., which may be representing parties related to the defendant.
