A lawsuit has been filed in Harris County, Texas, involving a complex web of accusations and defamation claims that could significantly impact the reputations of those involved. On October 13, 2025, Tu Nguyen initiated legal proceedings against ATUTA, Inc., doing business as Pho Bolsa TV, and several other defendants including Vu Hoang Lan and Andrew Le. The case is being heard in the District Court of Harris County.

The plaintiff, Tu Nguyen, alleges that the defendants engaged in a coordinated campaign to defame him through various media outlets. This case involves significant players in the Vietnamese-language media market in the United States. According to Nguyen’s complaint, Andrew Le established Andrew Le TV to dominate this niche market. He accuses Le and others of using their platforms to spread false information about him, particularly during a court hearing related to another high-profile case involving Gerard R. Williams III.

Nguyen claims that on February 20, 2025, defendants covered a court hearing with the intent to shape public opinion against him by disseminating defamatory content through Pho Bolsa TV and other associated channels. The plaintiff argues that these actions were part of a broader strategy orchestrated by Williams and his associates to bolster their own reputations while tarnishing his.

In addition to defamation per se—where harm is presumed due to the nature of the statements—Nguyen accuses the defendants of violating Texas laws regarding contempt of court and unlawful disclosure of personal information (doxxing). He asserts that these actions have severely damaged his reputation not only locally but also globally within Vietnamese communities.

Tu Nguyen seeks relief from the court for these alleged transgressions. He requests damages for loss of reputation and mental anguish caused by what he describes as maliciously false statements made with reckless disregard for their truthfulness. Furthermore, he demands corrective action from the defendants in terms of retracting or clarifying their statements.

Representing Nguyen are attorneys from local law firms experienced in handling complex defamation cases. The presiding judge over this matter is yet unnamed but will play a crucial role in determining whether Nguyen’s claims hold merit under Texas law.

The case number for this legal battle is 2025-77842.
