Stacey R. Allen has filed a lawsuit against two organizations, Peter Pans Backyard Rentals, LLC and Discovery Green Conservancy, for negligence following an incident that resulted in severe injuries. The complaint was filed on November 7, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. Allen accuses the defendants of failing to provide a safe environment at their kayaking facility.

According to the petition, Stacey R. Allen attended a kayaking event hosted by Peter Pans Backyard Rentals at Discovery Green Conservancy on June 21, 2025. During her visit, she followed instructions from an employee to enter a kayak from a floating platform that lacked handrails and stabilization support. As she attempted to board the kayak, Allen fell and sustained serious injuries to her right knee due to inadequate safety measures. She claims that both defendants should have been aware of these hazardous conditions through reasonable diligence and failed to address them appropriately.

Allen’s lawsuit argues that Peter Pans Backyard Rentals demonstrated negligence by inviting patrons onto premises with known dangers without taking necessary precautions. The company is accused of not monitoring or supervising staff adequately and failing to warn visitors about potential risks associated with using their facilities. Similarly, Discovery Green Conservancy is alleged to have neglected its duty as the property owner by allowing unsafe operations without enforcing proper safety protocols or providing adequate warnings.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for various damages resulting from her injuries, including past and future pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, physical impairment and disfigurement, lost wages, and diminished earning capacity. Additionally, she requests pre-judgment and post-judgment interest as permitted by law.

Representing Stacey R. Allen are attorneys Kanan B. Henry and Jeff C. Mathews from Henry Mathews Law Group P.C., while no information is provided regarding legal representation for the defendants. The case is identified under Case ID 2025-85103 in the 234th Judicial District Court of Harris County.
