The Harris County Clerk’s Office announced the upcoming launch of two new digital tools aimed at improving services and protecting residents: the Harris Votes mobile app and an in-house Property Alert System.

These initiatives are designed to make voting information more accessible and help prevent property deed fraud, addressing key concerns for many Harris County residents.

According to the announcement, by the end of May, the office will have administered six elections this year. The office emphasized its ongoing commitment to accuracy, transparency, and public trust in election operations. The new Harris Votes app will be available for free on both iOS and Android devices. It is intended as an all-in-one resource where voters can access essential election information including upcoming elections, polling locations, and important deadlines. “[The app] puts helpful, reliable information right in the palm of voters’ hands,” said Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth.

The mobile application supports English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese languages to serve the county’s diverse population. Voters can download it by searching “Harris Votes” in their device’s app store and enable push notifications for updates about deadlines or changes.

In addition to voting resources, later this year HCCO plans to debut a Property Alert System (PAS). This free service notifies users whenever a document is recorded under their registered name with county records—an effort intended to help detect potential property deed fraud quickly. Residents are encouraged to register all variations of their names with PAS for comprehensive monitoring but are reminded that if they suspect fraudulent activity they should contact law enforcement or seek legal advice.

Officials say these tools reflect a broader effort by HCCO to improve customer service through technology while helping build a stronger community.
