A Fort Worth man, Keith Plaskonos, was sentenced on Mar. 26 to 60 years in federal prison for producing sexually explicit videos of two children, according to an announcement from United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Ryan Raybould.
The sentencing underscores ongoing efforts by federal authorities to address crimes involving child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Plaskonos, age 68, pleaded guilty in December 2025 to two counts of using a child for the purpose of creating sexually explicit images. According to court documents, officers with the Department of Public Safety responded in November 2023 to a report at Dallas Fort Worth Airport that an adult male was viewing animated child sex abuse material on his cell phone. The individual was identified as Plaskonos. A forensic extraction of his device revealed he had used cellular phones in 2021 and 2022 to create explicit videos involving a female child approximately one year old and another female child about four years old. United States District Judge Mark T. Pittman sentenced him to two consecutive terms of 360 months each, totaling 720 months or sixty years.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Dallas Field Office (Fort Worth Resident Agency) and the DFW Airport Department of Public Safety. Assistant U.S. Attorney Aisha Saleem prosecuted the case.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated federal, state, and local resources.
