Federal inmate receives additional sentence for meth trafficking

A federal inmate has been sentenced to additional time in prison for drug trafficking violations in the Eastern District of Texas. Acting U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs announced that Kerry Wayne Feaster, 49, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and received a sentence of 63 months in federal prison from U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone on July 21, 2025.

Court information revealed that on August 14, 2024, a correctional officer at the Beaumont federal prison conducted a search of Feaster, discovering a black package containing 52.488 grams of methamphetamine in his gym bag.

The case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachel Grove.
