In a recent court filing, David Parrott has initiated legal action against the City of Corpus Christi, alleging discrimination based on gender and disability, as well as retaliation. The lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Corpus Christi Division, claims that Parrott was unfairly denied promotions and eventually terminated from his position as a Senior Management Analyst due to his gender (male) and his disability (PTSD). Despite having a commendable employment record with positive performance evaluations, Parrott alleges that he faced discrimination when female candidates without disabilities were chosen over him for higher positions. Furthermore, after raising concerns about this alleged discrimination and requesting reasonable accommodations for his PTSD, Parrott contends that he was placed on administrative leave and subsequently discharged under dubious circumstances. Represented by attorney Jon D. Brooks, Parrott is seeking reinstatement along with economic and non-economic damages.
