The Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program announced on Apr. 29 that it will offer free virtual and in-person legal clinics for eligible Dallas County residents throughout May.
These clinics are designed to provide access to legal assistance for those who may not otherwise be able to afford it. The program is a collaboration between the Dallas Bar Association, Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, and local lawyers.
Virtual clinics will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with specific dates including partnerships with JPMorgan Chase on May 7, DLA Piper on May 14, Haynes and Boone on May 21, and Stinson on May 28. In-person events include a Veterans Clinic at the VA Medical Center on May 1; South Dallas Clinics at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center on May 12 and May 26; an East Dallas Clinic at Grace United Methodist Church on May 21; and a West Dallas Clinic at West Dallas Multipurpose Center on May 28.
For virtual clinic participation, residents are asked to apply through an online form at https://tinyurl.com/DVAPClinic.
