Kenneth Ray Peters, a 44-year-old resident of Dallas, has been sentenced to 18 years in federal prison for his involvement in a violent drug trafficking operation based out of a hotel in Dallas, Texas. This announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Chad E. Meacham.

Peters and several accomplices used rooms at the BuZen Suites Hotel on W. Northwest Highway to distribute various drugs, including fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana. In January 2025, Peters pleaded guilty to his participation in the conspiracy and was sentenced to 216 months by Senior U.S. District Judge Barbara M. G. Lynn.

The drug trafficking activities persisted from 2022 into March 2023. Court documents indicated that Peters and others used a serving station within multiple hotel rooms to store drugs and paraphernalia, distributing them around the clock.

Court records revealed that security cameras were installed in the rooms to monitor daily activities. Other conspirators were paid to prepare drugs for distribution. Photographic evidence presented during court hearings showed cash, drugs, and tools related to drug trade operations.

Peters acknowledged that violence was prevalent among conspiracy members at the hotel. Incidents included beatings, pistol-whipping a customer, and burning a female customer’s foot after she lost consciousness from drug use.

On April 19, 2023, law enforcement executed search warrants at the hotel. They seized significant quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine (both powder and crack), heroin, powdered fentanyl, counterfeit pills containing various substances like morphine and hydrocodone, as well as large amounts of marijuana. Officers also found multiple firearms including handguns and rifles such as an AK-47 and AR-15 along with body armor and other items linked to drug distribution.

Other individuals charged alongside Peters have already received sentences from Judge Lynn. Derrick Alan Richardson received a sentence of 54 months in December 2024; Antoine Marquin Thompson-Stevens was sentenced to 108 months in January 2025; Keenan Bernard Allen (known as “King”) and Glenn Malcolm Blair (known as “Slim”) were each sentenced to 240 months in March 2025; Corey Lanard Allen Jr., Allen’s younger brother, received a sentence of 192 months on May 8, 2025.

The investigation was conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) alongside the Dallas Police Department’s Narcotics Unit.
