A man from Brazoria County has taken legal action against a Texas-based company, alleging negligence after suffering serious injuries. Michael Lambert filed a complaint in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on September 4, 2025, against The Makeover Experience LLC. Lambert claims that the company’s negligent repair work led to his fall through a floor in a mobile home unit.

According to the lawsuit, Lambert was working at a mobile home located at 525 County Road 330 in Freeport, Texas, on February 7, 2025. The Makeover Experience LLC had been hired to perform repairs on the floor of this unit. Lambert alleges that while walking through the unit, he fell through an improperly repaired section of the floor. The plaintiff contends that the defendant and its employees failed to replace damaged wood during their repair work, leading to his accident and subsequent injuries.

Lambert’s petition outlines several accusations against The Makeover Experience LLC. He asserts that the company breached its duty of care by failing to inspect for dangerous conditions and neglecting to warn him about potential hazards. Furthermore, he accuses them of not implementing proper safety protocols or enforcing existing precautionary measures. “Defendant knew or should have known of the dangerous condition created by them,” Lambert states in his filing.

The lawsuit seeks monetary relief exceeding $1 million for damages including medical expenses—both past and future—physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, disfigurement, lost wages and earning capacity. Additionally, Lambert is pursuing exemplary damages under Texas Civil Practices and Remedies Code § 41.001 et seq., citing gross negligence due to what he describes as an “extreme degree of risk” knowingly disregarded by the defendant.

Representing Michael Lambert are attorneys Scott P. Armstrong and Emma L. Coomes from Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP based in Houston, Texas. The case is assigned to Judge Adiiani Sls in Harris County’s 190th Judicial District Court under Case ID 2025-65697.
